I know a wonderful independent garden designer, Carl Schwarzler, in the Freehold area. He did some design in my backyard that got it ready for a wedding and solved a number of problems. I'm at work and don't have his no., but would be happy to forward it if you are interested.

My husband gave me a christmas gift certificate for Kales Nurseries.

There are quite a few good designers in the state that can offer you a consultation for an hourly fee. Depending on how much you wish to spend, will determine how much time and how much information you will receive. Will this designer be giving you advice on the wall project or a more involved design involving the property? Do you have an idea or a theme for what you are looking for? The more information you offer, the more the design will reflect your tastes and desires. If it is a small project, it will be difficult to get designers out there for an interview. so you may have to choose from a designer's website, or a phone conversation. What do you expect to pay for this advice or design, that may help to narrow the field and help select an appropriate designer. I know several that work in your area.
