Blue Dimples?

After reading the recent post "What do you think?" by pzelko, it got me wondering about a noid hosta that I have had for about 5 years. I got it at the end of season sale at Walmart just as I was getting interested in hosta and knew any better about HVX etc. I picked it up because I loved the blue colour on it and it was only a couple of dollars.

It looks very similar to Blue Dimples in pics 2 - 4 on the Hosta Library. I have always wondered if it was Blue Cadet, but the leaves are slightly wavy and most cup up on the edges. It is in a shaded area under a Blue Spruce tree that gets some morning sun. It is still very blue and is currently flowering. Flowers have a very subtle purple tinge to them and are only ever so slightly fragrant. Flower stalks are shorter.

It is in a slightly raised bed that seems to be slug free as I have a beautiful Invincible next to it so it may be slug resistant...or not.

I will go take a pic of it right now.

Is Blue Dimples common enough and yet distinguishable enough to be able to determine an unlabelled one as such?

Thanks in advance,

Patty

Here are the pics. I guess it also gets some some in early afternoon as there was sun on it when I went to take the pictures. When the sun isn't directly on it, it looks even bluer.

Yes, that looks like Blue Dimples, to me. It is quite distinct among that type of small/medium blue.

    Thanks, Josh.
As soon as I saw the pictures of Blue Dimples on Hostalibrary.org, I thought that was possibly what I had. However, as I questioned earlier, I didn't know how good the chances were of it being this.

One other feature I thought about mine, is that it is a late surfacer in the spring in my garden. It is the last to come up in that area of the garden.

    Thanks again, Josh

sure Patty this will probably take me about three days cause this computer is from the late nineties (probably the last year) it's been quite awhile and need a new one, but the hard drive is only 33% full!! LOL (just had to add a little bit of sarcasm there!! Oops!! I just checked my camera, I have 201 pictures to load into my computer. so much for that 67% free space!!

It does actually look kinda blue when you look at it in the right angle.

Wow!! loading all those pics from my camera gave me enough time to clean out the smelly cat litter box!!
    LOL
