Round-up does the trick!

Round up isn't killing the rose of sharon's that have invaded my poor yard. Nothing seems to do the trick. I pull them up while they are small but some of the large ones just won't die. HELP!

PS yes I see this thread is old but maybe someone can still help.

Sometimes when things are hard to get rid of you must spray multiple times about a week apart. If round-up does not do the trick try ortho weed and brush killer.

I have Rose of Sharon growing against my home. I WANT THEM GONE. They are rooting under my house and causing shoots to come up. I get to deadhead, but these are some huge roots at the base of the house. I need them gone. Spraying does absolutely nothing, no matter how many times you do it...

Cut them at the base and immediately paint the cut with Roundup concentrate. Like have the stuff sitting right there when you cut the sprout. Be sure and use the undiluted glyphosate concentrate.

Drill holes in them, then pour regular table salt down the holes,wala.
