Bored and making stuff up

I like Guacamole too, especially with tortilla chips.

I wonder if one could do a Mexican meal themed garden? Let's see if there are enough cultivars:

Okay, so I'm sitting here injured, unable to move, feeling hungry. The post on another thread about Guacamole gets me to thinking. Are there enough hostas to make a Mexican Meal themed garden? here's what I came up with, feel free to add to:

h. Guacamole

h. Frozen Margarita

h. Twist of Lime

h. Holy Mole

h. Tortilla Chip

h. Salsa

h. Hot Green Chiles

h. Tijuana Brass (you have to have Mariachis)

h. Baja Sunset (nice setting for your meal)

h. Tequila Sunrise

and if you want to push the envelope, you might get away with h. Summer Music and h. Summer Dress.

Okay, so now I've reached the limit of just how willing I am to appear moronic in public.

Yes, on another thread I mentioned I had taken a fall down the steps from my house to the sidewalk. I skidded for about 8 inches. Twisted my neck, bruised my shoulder and knee and was completely embarrassed lying there in the 100 degree heat, stunned and unable to get up and get my bearings. Finally the neighbor lady saw me out there and called my husband who was in the back room of the house, oblivious to it all.

There are no serious injuries, except to my self-esteem, but I'm sore and can't move much, thus my playing around with the Mexican theme idea.

I like all the suggestions. I think I may be on to something here. Sounds like a nice garden, plenty of variety too. Thanks folks.

Lainey- Ouch !! Get well soon.
I like your Mexican garden theme ideas.
    How about 'Margarita Ice'.

How about a 'Spotted Gecko' for a little local color?

I am loving these hosta names. Some of them must be very new because they are not yet in the hosta library. I've enjoyed looking each of them up to see what they look like. I'm now in love with h. Sombrero! I also found h. El Capitan, and h. El Dorado.

I may actually make this garden. I'm from the southwest now living in the midwest and I miss all things Mexicanos.
So for you hybridizers, new hostas are needed with the names:
    h. Enchilada
    h. Tiny Taco
    h. Mango Salsa
    h. Hot Tamale
    h. Chile con Queso
    h. Cantina
    h. Cinco de Mayo
    h. Mariachi
    h. El Diablo
    h. Speedy Gonzales

well you get the idea. Thanks folks. I'm doing better today pain-wise.

Don't forget Avocado, needed to make that Guacamole. And an El Nino would fit right in.

Lainey, I noticed in another post that you are in zip 47150. I'm in Floyds Knobs 47119. I know this has nothing to to with a Mexican theme but just thought maybe we could get in touch.

Of course, Janice, that would be great! Write to me at the e-mail link on my member page and we'll set something up. A couple of other forum people are here too. I'll let them identify themselves.

    Very cool!
