I am planting Dutch Iris for the first time here in Southern maine.. 6-8 varieties, 20+ bulbs of each variety. From the research I've done, they sread about as quickly as Bearded Iris, so should be dug and divided every few years to thin the m out.

Tat works for me....I can keep expanding my flower gardens with minimal $$$, simply by dividing and replanting various peennials and bulbs. yippee!

well let me know how they perform, that is, spring 2009. my quebec books say they are not hardy here. so in the end i haven't tried them....
