No, you don't have too, unless you think it might be too big for it's space indoors, but it might be a good idea to spray the undersides of the leaves with a dish detergent/water mixture in case there are bugs on it. just a small amount of dish detergent with water in a clean spray bottle.

Wheneven I overwintered my hibiscus it actually bloomed a few times during winter, despite just being in a semi bright window. It didn't grow much during winter, thankfully, because I don't have the proper light and any growth it did put out would be spindly and weak. For that reason I did trim it a bit before I put it back outdoors in spring. (When you put back outside be cautious, gradually getting it accustomed to the brighter light).
