Hi Jane - I summer it outside until the weather drops below 55F. It receives direct morning and afternoon sun but I am positive it would gladly take more shade. Last summer the leaves were a deeper reddish purple than I would have liked. Over the winter it sits about 10 inches from a southern window. I water is when it dries. And humidity does not seem to be an issue. Its winter home has humidity level in the low 30s. It is super easy to grow. I hope you are able to pick one up!
