Sophronitis Arizona

This seedling was raised in Brazil and acquired a couple of years ago from a German nursery. It has flowered for the first time and although very similar to coccinea, the colour seems to be deeper and the shape I think better. Anyone any comments on that?

Beautiful orchid! I wish the RHS had not fiddled with the Laeliinae Genera Names.

Lovely colour and good shape.

" Correct" name now Cattleya Arizona (1983)???????

Is it not a hybrid between coccinea and brevipedunculata?
If so, it should be a little easier to grow than coccinea. Great color!
