Cold growing terrestrial from Southern Europe, Northern Africa and the Near East. Got a dormant tuber from a nursery in Bavaria this summer, totally dry, hot summer dormancy planted in the fall and now has the flower. Outside in SOCAL and kept very wet. After the bloom it will go dormant soon and watering has to be restricted otherwise the tuber rots. Later the tuber comes out and is stored in a cool dry place in total darkness, completely dry until next fall.
