A steady rain to hydrate the poor parched garden! Everything looks clean and green and happy already! Now if this can just happen regularly the garden will be ready to go into winter (I hate to mention winter, though).

Ontheteam, I am glad too. The rain is very welcome, though you may be getting more than we are in NH. Talking about winter Claire, it almost feels like it today! Cold, wet, and dark here.

Man, did we need this! Yes, OTT, I agree, it's great to have a group of people who will be happy about it, while everyone around here is just complaining about getting wet.

I just planted some trees at my parent's house, so this is perfect timing for me. Only catch is I ended up trying to plant trees Tuesday during the drizzle at the beginning of this storm.

Oh, you lucky ducks. It's hot here and I can hardly wait for fall and winter. Well, California's version anyway. Any of you New Englanders named Sturtevant or Morrill? If so we're related, back to the Mayflower.

I've spending hours watering a dozen and half newly planted and transplanted shrubs and trees. So glad to have a break and to stop hearing the water meter ticking in my dreams.

See I knew you all would understand. I am STILL happy its raining today as well! And Idabean hit the nail on the head. I usually use rain barrels. But they of course have been empty, so it's been the hose. So glad to get my rain barrels re filled.
