Unless your spring starts a whole lot earlier than mine (heck, there's still another week or so before spring hits officially), there is still plenty of time to apply CGM for lawn weed control. Vinegar, 20% solution, will kill the tops of weeds but not the roots.

We're about 4 weeks past the first time to apply CGM down here a little further south. When your trees start budding out is the time. Watch for the cherry or other flowering hardwoods?

If you already have the weeds, then it's too late for CGM on them. Spray the leaves only with vinegar.

My St. Augustine is allready greening up. You indicate zone 7 Ft. Worth. We are actually in zone 8A unless you are north of Ft. Worth. Now, 20% vinegar works a lot like Roundup in that it kills grass and weeds so if your grass is starting to green up I would use a spray bottle and spot treat weeds. Other, the stuff is pretty caustic so use gloves. IMO, the best control of weeds is a healthy turf and the hot Texas sun.
