All I need to see is "ground corn." I don't look at the contents unless there is a mixture of ingredients. If you use it now, Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day, your soil will be hugely improved. The last app of the year could be Thanksgiving.

You will probably find a spray of molasses diluted at 3 tablespoons per gallon sprayed over 1,000 square feet will work for you. Molasses doesn't work for everyone, but if you are just getting started with organic, it might work for you.

I think it does matter. Commercially branded organic fertilizer has a mix of ground rains in it. I think it has to be a good idea. some microbes will prefer certain foods and others will prefer others.
