Press the visible runs down with your foot. The only effective control for voles and moles is trapping them. Get yourself a couple mole traps. Scissor traps are far superior to the plunger and fork design. Soy meal decomposes pretty fast on the lawn and I doubt that it's any more attractant than other organic feeds. Support your local economy, Try Milorganite for a few applications.

I agree, trapping is perhaps an option, however; I also purchased a product called "shake away". It is pelletized fox/cayote urine. I have read that they are considered a predator to the vole and the scent of their urine will chase them away. I will give this a try in addition to trapping and see what happens.

You could also try dilute human urine if you can get past the icky ewe factor. Pour it along the trails after you step them down.
