That's a lot of N for the year NH. CGM should be applied at 20 lbs. per 1000 to be effective as a pre-emergent. That's 2 lbs. of N per application. Usually 3 lbs. a year is the max for Nitrogen. So that's 4 lbs. not to mention what safe n simple adds. I've used Safe n simple and it's ok. a good mix of ingredients including fish. Just curious what price did Blue seal quote you on CGM? Remember timing is critical with CGM as a preemergent, soil should be just approaching 50 degrees.

I paid 39.99 for a 50 lb bag. I went by the forsythia blooming rule of them and put it down April 1st (right when it started to bud).
