Deerslayer - Wow! This is awesome! Yesterday, I called a few of these feed stores that are in my area but none of them carried CGM. One carried Bradfield Organics but I'd like to keep searching the feed store route for CGM to hopefully get it a bit cheaper. Looks like I'll need to expand my search area. Thanks again!!

CGM was developed at Iowa State University in Ames, IA and they also license dealers to produce and sell CGM.

Manning, IA is probably an hour from Omaha....it's north of I-80 on US 71 then west on IA 141...Yes, it's out in the boonies...

I was unable to find any dealers near me in Central Iowa, and I live just 30 minutes from Iowa State.

My personal opinion of CGM is that it only works on crabgrass and does little on other weeds. It's also got to be the MOST expensive and least productive form of pre-emergent weed control around.

If you buy CGM from a licensee expect to pay two or more times the price. Licensees are licensed to advertise and sell CGM as crabgrass preventer. Licensees pay Iowa State for that privilege.

If CGM is sold as a feed, the packager does not pay Iowa State for their crabgrass prevention patent.
