Posting a picture is a milestone. Christie helped me learn how but I panicked and deleted the first ones. That cat looks like less trouble than the ones here.

Christie, thanks, the plants are caladiums. They were one of last years lessons. Cold damages them so I put them out late and then pull them up early. They are great for shady places and can make a splashy show. They are pretty much annuals if you don't live in Florida. I have to have the perfect spot or the tuber will diminish in size because the growing season isn't long enough. I use them as an annual and the best ones you can get on line. Why bother? They are unusual here. I had 'Red Flash' and the neighbors thought they were silk leave and had to come over and feel them to make certain they were real. This year I will start the whole lot in a tray and scoop them out to plant, transplanting is a breeze. The shade loving ones are great for the back of the pot that faces the living room window. When my tubers whittle down I will order more because they add color, texture and variety to my garden.

Oh such a great picture to greet me this morning. The kitty looks so happy there. Wish there were flowers outside insted of the yucky snow. But maybe most of it will be gone today. Kathy
