Outstanding! I need a warm place to work in the winter.....

Are you using screws to put it together? I built a lattice- type trellis a few years ago out of cedar and used galvanized nails and the blasted thing didn't hold together too long.

Have you seen the cold frames where they put a bent hoop from what looks to be fencing over the bed and cover with plastic, opening the ends on sunny days? Have you ever done that with one of the raised beds?

wish i had a warm place to work too. i work in the garage and it is enclosed on 3 sides. some days it is just too cold.

i use exterior screws. think they are coated with ceramic or epoxy and they won't bleed from the weather. when working with cedar i drill holes before screwing pieces together. cedar will split in a new york minute.

i have seen the cold frames and have debated doing something similar but haven't done any.

if it will warm up today, will start on a planter box for the trellis. it has hailed here this am and doesn't look like it will be very warm.
