I'm not sure, but have seen allot of them this last weekend. all through the seneca, joplin area. On our road trip to visit family. Hope we don't get a hard freeze. Is this in your yard? So pretty. I seen one that had the whole side of it gone from the ice and was still in bloom. Maybe they are more resilient than we think?

Too early or not they are blooming like crazy here in Adair Co, Ok. ANd they are even further ahead in Tulsa area where I was last week. If that's a Bradford Ornamental Pear, no great loss if they frost, but my plum and almond were also in full bloom and it froze hard last night--over 1/4 " of ice in the water pan. Drat!! My fruit pears weren't that far open so I hope they will survive. Time will tell. Dorothy

It is way too early where we are(zone 5 now-used to be 6) but Joplin is zone 6 or 7 and they are always at least two weeks ahead and the Tulsa area is even more ahead.I am afraid that we will get more frost.Sure had a good one last night.Lots of stuff is leafing out here and I saw forsythias in full bloom in Marshfield but they are protected.I have lots of daffodils in bloom.Posy Pet

i have no idea of the tree type but it does look like some sort of flowering pear.

Bradford pears are blooming around Clarksville but not up here yet. We got a hard freeze too but everything looks ok so far.
