onion sets

I bought some Vidalia onion sets but it's too early to put them out ???

Should I wait until after frost? I wondering if they will last that long. I don't know whether to keep them dry or what. Can anyone tell me how to keep them from rotting or getting too dry until I can plant them?

christie, go ahead and plant them now. They'll be fine even if night temps dip below freezing. I left a short row of onions in my strawberry patch last fall and they are up growing like gang busters now. We're enjoying fresh green onions with most of our meals.
