Can this be used for a 11X11 room?

we are converting a 11X11 room into a bedroom for a parent, could a closet like this be added and not take away living space? Do you have any suggestion? Thanks.

    Please clarify--you are converting a space into a bedroom and asking if you can include a closet in the main space of the bedroom? Wardrobes with doors are nice if sharing the space with a functioning bedroom.

    Yes, the home is a traditional 4 bedroom Colonial...all bedrooms upstairs. However downstairs, the home has 3 living areas with a large eat in kitchen. We have decided to take part of "living area 1" and convert to a bedroom for grandmother. It doesnt have any closet, it is just an open space with 2 windows. We are planning on enclosing the room and adding a door of course. However, I was wondering about the closet because it does not have one. Thanks again!
