If I remember the variety is 'Sutton's Apricot' from Select Seeds. Is is digitalis purpurea and is a biennial. I have just had it for one year now and don't know if it self-seeded or not. I am assuming not so last year I planted more and set them out right next to the original ones in late summer last year. I do know I have green clumps alive in the bed.

I have also grown the 'Excelsior Hybrids' which was a white one with maroon spots. I think I liked it best but I wanted the apricot colored one next to my Buff Beauty rose.

Don't buy seeds! I have a teacup full from last year saved. Let me know if you want any.

Thanks Glenda. You gave me some and I have a million plants - not really. I don't do well planting fine seed - I have many plants. I did the same with winter sown poppy seeds which are up. I transplanted some of those poppies a month ago and have them under clear plastic tubs outside. They are fine, but I have many more tiny ones. Now I want corydalis lutea but I don't want to pay $5 postage for one package of seeds.

I couldn't get the corydalis lutea to germinate a few years ago. I think it would be best to find plants. It should work since I think it self-seeds too.

Don't worry about the cats and poison plants or any other animals. I think they know what they can eat. I have never lost an animal to a plant!

Helen, I am so glad they germinated for you. I have looked around my in-ground plants and don't see any self-seeded ones yet. That would be the real great way to keep them going.

I will plant another flat later this year for next year's blooms.

I grew a white one with burgundy spots a few years ago and really loved it. I need to check and see what it was.

I only used part of your seeds and I have more than those above. Some of them are verbascum.
