Shopping sprees last week?

Anyone besides me just have to get out and BUY something?? What goodies (to you, doesn't have to be "special") did you get?

My (partial!!) list:

Variegated Jacob's Ladder

Several Coleus: "Kiwi Fern", "Tilt-a-Whirl", "Kong Red" and "Kong Mosaic", "Copper", "Religious Radish" (what a name!)

Elephant Ear "Black Ruffles" (similar to "Black Magic", but ruffled edges)

Several Columbines

Lewisia (never seen it before, hope I like it...)

Heuchera (coral bells) "Creme Broule"

Rhododendron "Vulcan" (HUGE red flowers!!)

Ornamental Millet (looks kinda like Japanese Blood Grass, supposed to be hardy)

Chocolate Mint

I'm sure I'm forgetting some of the ones that are still "hidden" from DH in the back of the van! LOL!!

Now, if I could just find that elusive Variegated Giant Reed Grass......

Its gotten so I am afraid to leave the house, can't stay away from the garden centers. Last week got Phlox Paniculata, Confetti Lantana, Wine & Roses Weigela, 2 different Dianthus, 2 Cigar Plants. Ordered 2 kinds of lily bulbs from Robyns Gardens on Ebay and a Red Buckeye from Arkansas. Must get control. LOL

Looks like you and I are the only ones who were unable to "contain" ourselves, LOL! From your member page it looks like you need those Lewisias worse than me. And would probably be better able to keep them from rotting... ;)

Marge, they had 3 or 4 different kinds at a nursery I went to last week in Warsaw MO so they are starting to get them in so you might want to check out some nurseries in you area.******************************************************Leesa, you have quite a list of plants also. Yes, I have to get creative with my beds have been finding the largest rocks I can find. cleaning the area, placing the rocks in a design, then filling the hole created with dirt, then I plant. For my Iris bed I just put dirt in a pile laid the roots on the pile and put more dirt on top. It is working out well so far but slow going.

I saw margarita, ace of spades, blackie, and a dark green one that looks like blackie (forget the name) at Teal's in Fair Grove and also their place on Glenstone by Brown Derby. I also saw them at the place on Hwy 14 just west of 65 in Ozark, forget the name, sorry! I probably saw them elsewhere too... Sorry, I need to go to bed, but wanted to get this out for you. HTH!

The green one that looks like Blackie is called Lady Fingers. They also had Tricolor.
