Early Flowers

I think most of my things are about a month ahead of schedule.

This is the New BEd (it was new several years ago):

I wanted to catch the flowers before the sun hit so I see the peonies are closed up....I will take some more when they open. The dark pinks are singles.

and this is the Well House bed from some different angles:

This is the Driveway bed and I still haven't cleaned it. Cheet is everywhere this year....as bad as the henbit.

I never take a picture that either DH, cats, or the dog isn't in it!

You have created a beautiful cottage garden. I like the animals as you know. I had another post about this but an ad about a cruise line came on and I lost my message.

I meant to mention I always enjoy seeing animal helpers...and human ones too....in posts. My pets love to follow me around my gardens too.

I haven't been out with my camera but I wanted to report my early flowers. The blooms on my Kousa Dogwoods have fully opened. I have a big patch of verbena bonariensis that's just starting to bloom a little and I noticed today I have flower buds on one of my Crape Myrtles. It's a dwarf variety that blooms a little earlier than my others - Not usually this early though.
And - the fruit on my Sweet Scarlet Goumi is already turning red which means the birds will get them in a day or two and I haven't gotten around to getting bird netting for it.

Kousa dogwoods are beautiful. I don't see them in yards, but there is one in Newtonia in a yard that made me want to have one. I do have a small one but it is under other trees in very rocky soil. So far it hasn't made much progress. I can't imagine a crepe myrtle this early.
