Hi! I just posted over on the Pennsylvania gardening forum but no one answered. I was asking the same question. I attended a really nice plant swap last spring...it was in Ambridge (which would be closer for you). Does anyone know how to organize one? Is it just a matter of deciding on a space and inviting people? Anyone out there have any experience in this?

So, you moved here from the south...I think living in PA makes us appreciate Spring more than southerners. If that's any consolation. What kind of area do you live in? What kind of plants are you looking for?

If we can't get together a plant swap, maybe we can do a swap between the two of us. I'll check your list a little later and see what you have. Take a look at mine and see if I have anything you'd be interested in.

there was a great plant swap last year--4th annual one. it was at the pittsburgh center for the arts (shady and fifth ave) i imagine they'll do it again this year. they had an assortment of stuff from berry vines to perennials to veggie seedlings.

Admission: $2 per person

You can trade perennials, annuals, seeds, bulbs, garden tools and decorations. Plants should be clearly labeled and well-potted (please do not bring un-potted or bare-root plants).
