Thanks Jan :) This is actually not a not a nobile type, but a formosae type, and it seems to be pretty happy at intermediate temperatures although I think I should give it a slight drier rest right about now. No need for the cooling that nobiles need though!

Thanks everyone - Arthur: why do these do poorly where you're from? I'm just curious...although I'm pretty sure I'm doing decently with the culture of this plant, I'm not too sure what exactly it is that I'm doing...just kinda stumbling along. So any sort of advice would help.

Stats, i keep a database of plants benched at the local orchid society. It contains 11842 records.
The count for the hairy ones as Jank calls them is 2. Must ask the guy who benched if his plant is still in the land of the living.

Not much indoor growing here and people mostly grow what is easy. Conditions in my glasshouses and shadehouse are set for Tolumnia and Cattleya and orchids that will live with those two Genera.

On Monday, the peak air temperature outside was 33.5C and the humidity reading was 19%. Too hot and dry for the hairy ones.

You do not need advice just keep on doing what you are doing.Lol
