In using corn meal for dollar spot or brown patch, I've just applied, watered in and waited for the magic. I've always had good results. Was it the water, the extra attention . . .the corn meal??? I dunno - just know there were always improvements.

Now I'm hearing that I should never have applied the corn meal then watered it in. Something to do with the chlorine in the water messing with the chemistry of the fungal affects of corn meal.

What's the scoop? Have I been doing it wrong all this time?
