I have grown them from seed and everything has worked out with them. Some even live up to 3 years but then do not bloom. I have tried and tried and they never get above 3 inches. They make a stalk of sorts but never bloom and then they die. Since you are a little cooler, you might have a shot at it. If you can grow delphinium then these should be no problem. I think I am in the zone that starts to get to hot for them.

I bought a 6 pack at Wal-Mart in Grove. They were labeled lupine, Texas blue bonnet. It is the first time I've grown them so I don't know what they will do.

Thanks for the replies, Beerhog & HelenH. I put them where they will get shade part of the day, so we'll see if its still too hot here. The seed pkg said they were the russell hybrid. Helen, if yours said Tx BB, then surely it won't be too hot up here for them.
