Best overwintering success stories

What plants have you had the most success with when it comes to overwintering them?

I have had an artillery fern for a few years. During the summer [url="http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd96/Creaghgal/CIMG0446-Copy.jpg";]it is in a planted in a water fountain.[/url] Then I snip a tiny bit off for the winter and [url="http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd96/Creaghgal/artillery%20fern/winterhome-Copy.jpg";] keep it on a windowsill[/url] until itÂs time to [url="http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd96/Creaghgal/artillery%20fern/transplanted-Copy.jpg";]start the whole thing over again [/url]for the summer. I wish I knew more plants I could overwinter so easily.

Your fern looks great, I don't think I've ever heard of one of those before. Does it stay on the porch all summer?

I have good luck with coleus. They sit in water most of the winter (and end up looking really really sad btw) until I pot them up around this time of year. As the sun gets stronger they perk up and by the time spring rolls around I've got enough rooted cuttings to fill an entire bed and give a couple away too.

My mother has been overwintering geraniums for years.
