Not much damage here, just a small sand cherry tree that lost a good sized limb, but it was damaged after the ice storm and weak from that. I didn't expect to still have internet but do.
I think there were kids still on buses on their way to school this morning when the sirens started going off. I bet that was hectic getting them all inside. I'm sure they have a plan for that type of thing but I sure wouldn't want to be driving a bus full of kids when a tornado's coming.

I got .9 inch of rain, brief hail and some wind. Some dead limbs fell but no damage that I can see.

We lost a huge Spruce in the front yard, root ball maybe 8-10 across, another huge elm north of the garden down and a big limb on new farm fence that broke all 6 wires. Those will be first priority, but will have to wait until my cold is over.
We probably have a couple of loads of smaller limbs in the yard, no power since about 9:30 AM, the automatic generator has been a blessing! Lots of damage all around us. We are between Walnut Grove and Willard.

Not much rain, maybe 1/2 inch and no hail. I did move all the plants under cover last night.

Flowers are laying flat this morning. I am hoping they will straighten up.

Oh my! Glenda, I am glad you are okay, but I hate it about your huge spruce tree, and the other trees.
We 'lucked out' and only had a few brief gusts of wind, and a little rain. I figured it would down my few iris blooms, so cut and brought in my two favorites. As it turned out, I wouldn't have needed to, but I can enjoy them more in here anyway. :-)

We watched the KY3 reports all morning, and are watching the news, with all the pics, now.

Thanks, Marian. We are finding a few more things as time goes on, blew a window pane out of the barn too. No power in our area now since around 9 AM yesterday. The generator has kept us going great. A neighbor came down for water yesterday afternoon. Their barn was torn up and they had more trees down too.

I hate this season of storms.

My friend in Joplin is out of power. Joplin TV is off my DISH I'm getting KY3 TV on DISH instead; the Joplin TV tower blew over. I guess Sunny and Bonnie are out of power or we would have heard from them. I hope they haven't had damage; there has been some in Joplin and Neosho.

Was a long day yesterday trying to p/u an clean up as best could be done w/o power.
Could not even bath after I was done, yuck.
Have a lot a limbs down big and small.
Flower pots and other things missing from yard. Have walked the neighborhood and no sign of them.
They were right by the other flower pots that are still sitting there and not the least bit bothered. A bike is gone. All I could think of was the scene from wizard of oz.
I woke up at a little after 6 on Friday morning to hard rain and then wind so went out to get the lawn chairs and it started hailing and the could not get the door open to get back in the wind was so hard. I felt like I had been run down by the time I could pry the door open and get inside.
I'm so excited to have power back I don't know what to do first.

Just got the power back! We toured the neighborhood and saw lots of serious damage. A local dairy lost two barns and the calf hutches were blown out of the lot and calves scattered everywhere. They still have 1 or 2 missing. Lots of roofs damaged, a couple of houses had windows blown out, and lots and lots of trees uprooted.

I have a plum tree over and I think one of my dwarf apples may be damaged because the leaves look wilted, my large Beauty Bush is blown over and an old lilac. I hope I feel like getting out tomorrow and shoring things up. DH hauled off two pickup loads of smaller stuff today.

We were luckier than most.

Hello, everyone. I thought of you all during the storm and hoped and prayed that everyone would be all right. Our storm hit about 6:15 AM and the power went out immediately. The rain was horizontal, or all over the place, hail, and very big wind. I guess the Silver Creek siren sounded but it was so noisy (train sounds YIKES) I didn't hear it. The all clear blew at 8:00 AM but I didn't get power until 5 PM yesterday.
I had small stuff all over the yard, but no trees or big live limbs. They were just hanging limbs that fell harmlessly. All my little beautiful plants were out on the driveway and lived through all of it. I was so sorry for them in the hail, but the wind and rain was so hard there was no damage.
My daughter in Duquesne had three large oaks down (away from house). It was a tornado. And power was out so she came to stay the night with me and brought my two little GCs. They didn't get here until Midnight and we were all so stoked I don't know what time we made it to bed! My DSIL is a paramedic and he was on duty.
One good thing -- all that wind and water sure brought down the oak bloom! Yea!
Some of my neighbors still don't have power. There are some very large trees down all around me and I'm so grateful everyone stayed safe.
It was bad to have Internet Withdrawal! CableOne was out until this afternoon.
That was a terrible picture of the storm in Springfield, Violet. All those yellows and reds -- scary. Bonnie, I know how you feel about getting your power back. Christie, I saw the schoolbus going out of the village during some bad stuff. Glenda, sorry about your spruce. Please do just rest and get over the cold -- most things really can wait. Helen, I'm glad you're okay. I hoped you would be. Marian, you are sooooo lucky! Where is ceresone? I can't get back to see if she checked in. Hope she's okay.

We were under a tornado watch again last night, but nothing materialzed, thank God.
Glad to here that power is back on for you all.

The area where some of you live has certainly got more than their share of disasters! In the 25 years that we have lived up on this mountain, our worst weather was this spring's ice storm. We still have a lot of broken limbs in our yard that need removed, but are too high for us to take care of.

I am thankful that the spring leaves are hiding a lot of the ugliness.

No, We didnt have power out, more than a few minutes. Not much damage here around the buildings, but driving out yesterday, it was plain to see the tornado path. Seems its about the same path each time, and goes across our south fence line, and thru the woods.
Lots of broken windows, trees down, etc. The picture on KY3 of Pomona damage about 6 miles south.
I went out before 7AM to try to get the garden in shape for the winds, it blew in about 8:30.
I'm so glad everyone is OK,Like Helen said, it would be terrible to lose your animals too. I think we were lucky to only have 3 deaths in the state, never in my 72 years(well, almost)have I seen a storm front stretch completely across the state, north to south.I think, too, that the weather stations did a good job covering the situation.

Thankfully we only had a few small branches down and a couple of shrubs leaning slightly. Quite a few neighbors lost large trees though.
