Christie, I would move it to a more shaded area. I have my reds on the east side of the house and even that side is somewhat shaded. They bloom all summer and one plant even came back from the mother plant this year. Unless the west gets lots of shade, I would be worried.

I have to agree. I don't have the reds but my first ladies did better on the east side of the house that only gets 2-3 hours of direct sun. They bloomed all summer. The ones I planted that got sun from noon on quit blooming and looked poor through the hottest part of summer but still perked up and bloomed again when temps cooled off.

Well I need to find a better spot for mine then. I have some other plants I need to move as well. Thanks : )
