I have 2or3 yellow iris like yours blooming also and a purple with white.my fancy iris always blooms later so don't know what they'll do yet.

My wild phlox are blooming and i get more every year.Also The false solomans seal is blooming. No sign of daylily blooms,but they don't bloom untill later anyway. They are greening up nicely. Hope everyone elses is too.

Those are pretty. I've only had a couple blooms on my iris and only saw one bud yesterday. I hope they're not done.
My bleeding heart is blooming again! That's a nice surprise. It had time for just a few flowers before the late freeze and then got frozen to the ground.
My dianthus and columbine are starting to bloom and I still have some flowers on my creeping phlox and candytuft. I have couple shrubs that are blooming now; viburnum dentatum, and ninebark 'Diablo'. It almost finally looks like spring again - sort of.
Yesterday, I found a lily coming up that was about three inches tall with smelly mushy leaves. I dug out the rotten part. Hope it isn't something that will spread to the others.

My daylilies (Stellas) are in bud right now. Columbine is blooming. Woodland phlox are blooming as are some oxalis. I had planted two bush clovers last year that were up when the late frost came. They died back to the ground but are back up again. Of course the May Night Salvia is blooming which makes the bees happy.

scrapinator, did you buy your bush clovers locally? I have been wanting that plant for some time, but never have ordered any. I think it is just a beautiful plant.

Had a couple more iris bloom; three diferent salvias, my precious seed-raised oriental poppy, oenothera, and one very early daylily and still the hesperis.

It is beginning to seem like spring if you don't look up at the trees or at my sorry looking roses and clematis.

I did buy the bush clover locally, at Hilltop. I got a pink and a purple. I have them at the back of my perennial beds with things like Joe Pye weed since they get really tall.

What species of Bush Clover are you guys referring to? I have Lespedeza thunbergii. Are there some new cutivars that are more shrubby? Mine gets pretty tall and floppy.

Marian, I think they are thunbergii, but the ones I have seen (only in pictures) are very full, bushy and loaded with bloom.

Hilltop is near me....I need to check them out.
