Only one place that I know of that has mums this time of year, Creek Edge Garden Center near the Franklin Mills Mall, Philadelphia. You usually buy hardy mums in August/September for Fall planting.

Thanks....I usually buy several that time of year, but they never survive through the winter so I thought if I planted them early in the growing season, they'd have a better chance. I did find a couple on Ebay, but was hoping to find more.............guess I'll just keep looking

Deb, If they didn't survive they probably weren't Hardy mums. The reason you don't see them is because it's not the time to plant them. Billie

Well, I live in the boonies with no nurseries, so I mostly depend on the internet for things I want. And I have been reading up on them and it says to plant them in the spring....ah well, I guess I'll keep looking

try Bluestone Perennials. It's one that only sells "babies". They are based in Ohio, and only sell mums in the Spring. I've also read that it's the best time to plant them. Actually saw a few at Wal-Mart last week.

I'm from New Jersey, but work in Philadelphia near Montgomery County. I have tons of Sheffield Pink mums. The are a single mum which open a very pale pink and grows about 2 to 3 feet tall, and is October blooming. It is absolutely stunning.
