Have you checked your local nurseries for Privet? I would think that most would carry it and you could see what you are getting, not pay shipping, etc. I'm not sure where in PA you are, but I know there is a nursery in Fountainvill that has it.

Cold Stream Farm has a very good reputation and they may have some sort of native that would serve the same purpose as a privet.
