Wow! thats a big trip!! Are you planning on planting them when you get back? Seems like it may be a little early for doing this. Is it possible to wait a few months to make the trip, so the weather is warmer outside? I think the chances of survival will be greater then. Either way-good luck with your trip.

Well I wish it was warmer for sure. I have a 12ft enclosed trailer that will be exposed to 20 degree weather for a total of 5 hours on my way back. Its hold heat very well. As a little added protection when the trailer is full everything will be covered with bails of pine straw. I have made this trip a few times an never had any real damage. I am picking this stuff up now because I have to or I really would wait till its warmer. I have my cold frame green house in the yard Ill keep most stuff in it till it warms up. I will be going out of town a couple more times this year and need to get these sabals and my needle that was just dug up out of the way. Everything is cheap and on sale right now.
