Japanese Beetle Cafeteria

Here's a photo of my crepe myrtle forest taken mid-June before much bloom. I'm still hand-spraying Sevin on every little shiny invader I can find - at least morning and evening. It must be effective, because the concrete next to the bed is full of dead beetles. I particularly relish spraying every "couple" I see because she's never going to make it to the egg-laying part.

That is a forest. I feel just like you do. I keep a sprayer full of Seven and by the time I am finished, they are laying dead on the first ones I did.

I need to get back out and spray the new plum trees before they find they leafed out again.

We have some acreage next door, and I can't see why they don't stick to it. of course i don't know why the deer don't stay over there either.

your forest is really pretty.
