I have my palm seeds on a heat mat that is on a timer. The timer is set for 10 hours along with my lights. I have been waiting about 2 months for fresh sabal minor and other seeds to germinate and nothing. The mix was a little compacted (too much sand) so I changed it to a lighter mix. Should I be keeping the heat mat on all the time or is it fine the way it is currently set up( on a timer), being on for only 10 hours a day.

Cheers and thanks for any answers
