Would you drag non gardeners to Quigley Castle? I went to Branson and then E Springs last fall with my cousins, but I didn't ask that we go to Q Castle because I didn't know if they would like it. Were the roads treacherous down to it? I also just like riding around the town or riding the green trollies. The little cottage gardens and houses perched in the rocky hills are interesting to me. I see things in the stores I like but I am too cheap to buy the nice art things. I love some of the glass art objects but would never spend that much. Last time I was there I got some wind chimes that I like that weren't too expensive. I have so many wind chimes I can't hear my phone.

I would like to make the trip if I could be airlifted into town! Those gawd-awful roads make me positively nauseous.

I didn't like the roads either. Our GPS led us astray and we came in the wrong way to the hotel Friday. We took a few dirt roads that we weren't supposed to and it was after dark. I wasn't driving, just giving advice to my husband. lol I was quite relieved when we finally found the hotel. I would hate to have to travel those roads every day to work, especially in the winter.

I think if you went to Quigley's Castle only to see the plants, you would be disappointed. A rock hound would love it. It's the story that's interesting and the countless hours that were put into it. The lady that showed us around was a granddaughter of the lady that originally built the home and I think she lives there. Some of the rooms are shut off so you can't tour the entire home.

Christie, I really enjoyed your photos. Haven't been to the castle yet. Glad you enjoyed the Crescent Hotel -- aren't the grounds lovely? Wonder if the nice swimming pool is still there.

I so enjoyed these pics. It makes me want to visit. I've never been.

There was an outside pool but we didn't swim. I didn't see anyone swimming. The water may have been too hot.
It is a nice place to visit. A nice straight interstate highway would make it a short drive.
