Ninecrow, if you got seed from that fruit, plant those. The daughter plant(s) should prove to be a viable pollenator (self-pollenated seed should pick up enough recessive genes to keep it from coming out as a clone). Granted, it may well be next year before this effort bears fruit as it were, but short of buying another foetida, I don't know of any species that will produce full fruit for you.

The only reason I only have the one is lack of space.... Maybe I can get Mum to have one at her house and then when I'm there collect the pollen... Hummmmmmmm

You can always start your seeds then give out the plants as Christmas gifts to your friends and neighbors. ;-)

My foetida put on a lot of fruit, but it was small and barren---no pulp, and the seeds never developed. Wonder why? I had several other passifloras blooming at the same time, but left the pollenation to the insects.
