! Ok. so the story goes as follows:

This morning I went outside to check on my new passion flower buds, around 7:15am, just before I left for school school. And to my amazement I found two beautifully extended P. vitifolia flowers.

I come home right after school 2:45pm and I find one flower missing, the other tore up, shoots broken off, and pieces of the missing flower dispersed around the base of the vine.

I had been expecting to take pictures and enjoying the view more until coming home to the terrible scene.

Does anyone have any idea what might have caused this? This has happened once before with a flower which bloomed several days before. Squirrels maybe?
