In OZ, what I did with custard apple seeds and papaya seeds to rid their goo pouches was a couple of methods, wet and dry:
Wet: soaking first to loosen the pockets, then running them under the tap in a strainer, shaking over and over, like chaffing and then putting them onto a tea towel and rubbing? Then there is the dry method where you dry the seeds to a crisp and then rub the outer skin off. I don't know if either method would be particularly efficient enough for your purposes. Good luck!

I'm pretty sure Vanderplank's book on Passiflora suggests squashing fresh seeds, goo and all, into a seedling mixture -- no washing needed. If you plan to store them, I'd trying drying them out a bit. Hope this helps!

I recived some planting directions that said to soak seeds in passion juice or orange juice for twelve hr., then keep seeds at 100 degrees. worked well.

yup - I've always planted them goo & all, and they germinate very well.
