P. incarnata white

I'm wondering what the white variety of P. incarnata really is. Is it natural? is it a hybrid? is it a cultivar? subspecies? what is it?

I'm going to get some passionflowers from a friend and she says they grow wild in kansas. One of them is purple and the other is exaclty the same but white.
