I collected a bunch of seeds from some palms at the Virginia Zoo today. I got seeds from windmills, palmettos and pindo. I have had success germinating windmills using the paper towel and tupperware method before but don't have any expeience with other palms. So, for the palmettos and pindo seeds what are the best methods for germination? I would think that germinating the palmettos would be similar to germinating the windmills. Is there a better more proven method than this for the pindos? Should I try to germinate them now or wait until spring? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
