Oddly enough I just saw a couple in large pots at the Lowe's grocery store in Cary at Millpond Village Shopping Center at the corner of Ten Ten and Kildaire Farm Roads. Not sure which they were but they were pretty. Last year I saw some at Garden Supply in Apex and at the Farmers' Market. I ordered from Glasshouseworks.com last year at reasonable prices and I was very happy with them. They don't ship until closer to summer, though. Good luck!

Thanks for your terrific info! I've never ordered from Glasshouseworks, so I'll check it out. Also, although that Lowe's is a trek from my house, I am going to see if other Lowe's grocery stores have passiflora. If not, sounds like it might be worthwhile for me to make the trip.

Summeronmymind, the glasshouseworks plants will be very small when they arrive but they will grow like mad. I ordered Incense last year and it is starting to bud out again after losing all its leaves over winter.

Thanks, Roberta. I ordered 3 different ones. Have you ever tried them in a large pot near a trellis or brick wall? I never have, and I'm tempted to see if a REALLY big pot would do it.

Yes, that is exactly how I grew mine--in a large pot with a "pot trellis" leaning up against the deck rail. I plan on transplanting it into a planter with trellis attached this year (as soon as the planter I ordered arrives!) This picture doesn't show the whole setup but you can see how pretty the flowers were. This is "incense".

Hi! Someone gave me some seeds from a Grenadilla (the fruit). She said that I can grow plants from them? She said they even bear fruit? Does anyone in NC have experience with growing Grenadilla plants? Can you give me any advice? I put the seeds into the ground yesterday and will see what happens.
