If you can get enough root and can keep them watered, I would risk it. Some mulch might be a good idea too.

It's certainly worth a try. Shading them after you move them will help them adjust. You can break off tree branches and stick in the ground around them.

Thanks for the advise. I think we will try it. They are growing in a very loose gravely shady area now and we will be putting them in an area that is still shady. The ones we are moving escaped from pots and we will be relocating them to where they were originally planted and back into pots. They do really well in the shady place where they will be going. I - well the grandkids and hubby :) as I broke my ankle the first of April and couldn't walk around the patch - still haven't as it is sort of uneven and rocky - picked over 4 gallons of berries this year. I love blackberry cobbler!

Blackberry cobbler and bb jam are my favorites too.
