William, i tried one year but they froze out. I've been told in zone 6 they have to be dug and stored in a cold but not freezing garage ect...

South of Ft. Smith we leave some in the ground every winter..they have always come back..so far for over 10 years. However, we dig some..just in case. A good, heavy layer of mulch will help. Something interesting Beerhog taught me..if you bury them deeply in the ground, the bulbs and ears will get larger each year. We fill a large pot with them and bury the whole thing.
