I *think* that's a passiflora Vitifolia, a very popular red passion flower. Fruit is edible if pollinated by a non-clone.

I would not survive your winters. I put one in the ground on the south side of my house, and even with heavy mulching and a *very* mild winter (even for Texas standards) it took a real beating. They like humid conditions, so misting is encouraged (misting with soapy water also discourages bugs) and like lots of sun. Good luck!
