I'm curious about something....

I have a fairly big area that I have planted black bamboo in last year it's got a baracade around it that goes about 2 1/2 feet down. But my husband left it sticking out of the ground so far that I can't stand it!! (the baracade). If I was to plant some incarnata on the inside of the baracade and just let it drape over the ugly thing would it be happy doing that or does it need to climb up??

Would it suffocate my black bamboo?

I'm desperately trying to figure out how to cover this THING sticking out of my ground without having to redig it and put it deeper.....Thanks
