Heating Cables

Hello this is mike. I just wanted to post my experience using some heating cables made by wrap-on

http://www.wrap-on.com/

I just brought back some sabals and wanted to keep them warm. I called wrap on since there very close to where I live. They sell what they call grow-quick cables. They use them for soil warming but I made the mistake of telling them I wanted to wrap them on palms and they told me they dont think it would work ( whatever ). They told me they are the manufacturer and couldnt sell them to me out right but guided me to a local person who sells them. I Finally bought them for $23 bucks for 48 foot (which is a double cable 24 ft long). If you get one make sure its the light blue colored wire thats the hottest one they make about 200 watts. It comes with a built in thermostast that keeps the soil/palm 75 degrees. These things work great! The sabals where 70 degrees all last night. Im getting more today to wrap my roeby in the hallway.
