York Co. here, normal amount of acorns, maybe a little bit heavy with White Oak. If there was a frost when the trees in question bloomed, it can prevent nuts. We had a frost here a few years back when the black Walnuts were in bloom. So nice to not have them rain down on the out buildings.

Blossoms are sometimes much more tender for frost. If other trees had already bloomed, but the oaks and hickories were just opened, that could explain your lack of nuts.
