I keep all my passies including the hardy ones inside over the winter. I used to cut them way back and keep them in the greenhouse. This past winter I decided to keep them in the house under 1000 watt metal halide lights and they did surprisingly well, better than they did in the GH. I didn't cut them back prior to bringing them in either and they bloomed all winter for me. The flower color wasn't as vibrant as it is when they are growing outside but they were still pretty. The only problem I had was trying to get them back outside. The vines had grown into each other and many of my other plants so I ended up having to prune them just to get them out the door.

One of my outdoor maypops made its appearance last week. This is the earliest I've seen it pop up in the past couple years.

Wow, at least they survive, thank God! I'm still waiting for the 'pop...they're on backorder. Waah!! Oh well...soon....soon...hahaha!
